Prof. Suresh Sundaramurthy is Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India. Prof. Suresh Sundaramurthy is Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India. He completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Roorkee and has held postdoctoral and visiting faculty, research positions at international and national institutions (CUNY, USA, AIT Thailand, JNCASR, Bengaluru, IIT Kanpur, Pondicherry University). His research interests include catalysts, reactor design, environmental biotechnology, waste-to-energy, nanoengineered materials, biofuels, decarbonation and green hydrogen. He has supervised numerous Ph.D. and master's students and has substantial experience in R&D projects. He has undertaken several Energy & Environment consultancy projects and technical services including Gas Authority of India Limited, NCAP-MoEFF&CC, Central Effluent Treatment Plant (Indore), CITIIS 2.0 (Ujjain), M.P. Pollution Control Board, Directorate of Urban Administration & Development, State Co-operative Dairy Federation, Animal & Poultry Development Corporation, C-STEP Pvt Ltd. He has published over 130 research papers in SCI-indexed journals, authored/edited 14 books and 41 book chapters/encyclopedia and holds four patents. He has been technical expert member of A.I.C.T.E and Bureau of Indian Standards. He has hosted and lead different technical industry-academia conference/webinars including ' CO 2 Reduction Processes for Future Energy Development ' involving participation from different industry experts with emphasis on conversion of CO 2 into value added products, coal gasification and H 2 as the source for future energy. He has received awards from SERB-IUSSTF, Ministry of Education, DST-Uttarakhand Council of Science and Technology, Institute of Engineers.
